How many times do you hear people say that Florida is a place full of tourist attractions. For our state to have so many visitors throughout the year, it is not as clean as it should be. For this assignment I decided to go out into the community and take pictures of the trash I saw families pile up in front of their yard. While doing this project I realized that the taxes we send to the government that should be used to clean the community, is not doing much. It's one thing to take care of your own home inside and out, but to take care of your community is next level. The following pictures show how much some people care for the presentation that they are giving to others about their communities. Leaving trash out on the side of the road for days, piling up trash and letting weeds grow over it in the front yard, etc. These are all things that are being done all over the sunshine state. If only we could work TOGETHER as ONE to clean up the messes we made. This should be done to show to others that we care about the nature, the animals, and our own well-being. "We can't succeed until it's all clean"

For this assignment I was giving the task to go out and take pictures of groups of people. I decided to take pictures of my schools track team. We took a nice trip to Clearwater High School. While taking the following pictures I had to make sure that the images showed everyone's face in the image. Pictures can not speak for themselves, but these pictures do. Catching the emotion and feelings on someone's face was the hardest part of this project. The trick to taking the picture as the runners ran their race was to increase my shutter speed. I managed to capture some pretty good pictures during this project, thank God that day everyone came home with a medal.
This project was meant to capture any type of pictures and basically applying it to an collage. I decided to take pictures of people who are considered family to me. While taking these pictures I didn't really tell my models to do much besides be themselves. After taking the pictures I went into Lightroom and Photoshop to make sure that there was just the right amount of exposure to the pictures, getting rid of glares and bright spots.
Natural light portraits are hard work, it's a lot more then just having someone stand in the sun while you snap a shot. While capturing natural light photos one must be sure to get the a particular angle so that the model is hit with just the right amount of sunlight. I admit it was hard for me to capture decent photos due to my conditions but, I managed to direct the models into a position where the sun hit them at a perfect angle. By guiding your model into the right spot you will be amazed with the outcome you get. The first assignment I was given was to demonstrate depth of field manually on my camera. I shot two photographs, one at a F-stop of 5.6 and the other with a F-stop of 16. I learned that when the aperture is open, the depth of field is shallow. When the aperture is close, the depth of field is deep.
